Norco Fluid Hardtail 1
If you plan on spending a bit of time going uphill, Norco’s Fluid Hardtail 1 is a solid choice. With generous standover clearance and an imaginative 120-millimetre fork, The Fluid HT 1 performs really well in all our tests. It’s a capable and efficient climber and it’s been designed to excel when going uphill for long periods of time. Norco’s HT 1 has a dropped drive-side chainstay is a great feature of this bike and it allows for shorter chain stays and ample tyre clearances. The dropped drive-side chainstay also reduces chain slap which can get really frustrating on twisty downhill trails.
The bike comes with 27.5-inch wheels if you pick up the extra small to medium-sized bike, or 29-inch wheels if you pick up a medium to large-sized bike.
One potential drawback of Norco’s Fluid HT 1 mountain bike is that the frame only comes in three sizes.
